What I found most interesting about your story is that Chip goes on a mission so he will make friends in his world, but instead finds a better friend in the human world. I love the message that anyone can be friends and about the importance of friendship. Visually I enjoyed the way values make the sunset pop out, as well as the framing techniques used in the film.
