i wasn’t expecting historical fiction to be submitted, but i’m so glad it was because this is amazing. i NEED to see more of the Saucy Young Englishman™️. i wonder how his ego and personality will develop, because there must be a pretty remarkable event to trigger character growth from someone so self-centered (for better or for worse).

An apothecary in the black death, you'll be able to do tons with that! Excellent description of an Arrogant Young Man. Question: Since being an apothecary is a bit of a service profession, and he thinks so little of other people, does that raise conflict with his job? How does he do with customers? Small historical note: You've drawn Isen wearing a lace cravat, but those don't appear until the 1600's. Geoffrey Chaucer would have been only a few years younger than your Isen, illustrations of Chaucer might help with wardrobe. But also, if I'm making pedantic notes about neckties, it's because you've done a fantastic job.

What I found interesting was the background and context of the character. I like his character type and personality traits. It's interesting to see a main character or just a character that isn't the fun, bubbly type.
