What I like most about your character is all the characteristics you have for your character, all his explicit & implicit characteristics, his wants & needs, & the conflict he will go through. I wonder how is journey to find his hat go, will he accept the help from other people & make some friends along the way. Also the fact that Jalen is an object, searching for another object, while having this ego & being judgey can be a great idea.

This short glimpse of this wonderful story had me in tears, I am now very invested in the adventures of Jalen and his quest to get his lost hat. I want to know why Jalen loves his dear hat so much, and why he is willing to go so far for it, But other than that *chefs kiss* it is beautiful.

I like Jalen the bird as he seem like a very kind person as it seems like a cool character. i hope you will add some more personality to him to make him seam more life like. I love the story idea though as it seams to be very cool.

I like your character a lot but, I think when making the short you should have a back story to the hat to make it more meaningful. like his father giving it to him or something.
