I really like the idea of a character vs world type plot but because your character's main goal is mostly just survival (which i feel like is a more physical goal/development) have you thought about building the character more emotionally/mentally?

The concept of an apocalypse definitely caught my attention. Are there zombies? Cyborgs? Drones? Which specific moments during the apocalypse gave Alex PTSD? Do they have a family? Friends? Do they overcome their anxiety (and if so, how?) or do they remain anxious through to the end?
