Welcome to Week 8  |  Full storyreel due Sunday Dec 5th

Your job for this week is to
finalize your storyreel for the exhibition!
Make sure you've looked at your feedback from last week.
This is the last week to revise your storyreel.
Focus on making changes that you think will improve your story
Exercise 1: Editing (1-2 hours)

What can you do to CLARIFY & improve the PACING of your story?

  • can you cut story beats that aren't important?

  • can you add story beats anywhere to avoid confusion?

  • are there moments in your storyreel which play too fast or too slow?

Update your storyreel accordingly.

Exercise 2: Color (optional)

Think of any moments in your story which would benefit from some color (to amplify emotions or draw the viewers eye to something important in the frame).

(Adding color is not required)

Exercise 3: Motion (optional)

Think of any moments in your story which would benefit from motion lines & lines of action. Update those frames accordingly.

If you finished editing your storyreel you can polish it further using
these two (optional) exercises.
Ready to submit to the final exhibition?
There are two final steps:
1) Every member of your team must complete the questionnaire below.
2) Every member of your team must judge 4 entries in the Week 8 gallery.

What's next?
After you have completed the questionnaire, submit your work and judge 4 entries in Week 8 gallery, you are done with your Week 8 assignments.
Stay tuned!
We will prepare the final exhibition website, including celebration videos and awards for public viewing, going live on Friday, Dec 10th.
